- Autotaxin (also known as Enpp2), an exo-enzyme that is upregulated in various cancers such as breast and lung cancer, is a secreted protein integral to the production of the lipid signaling molecule, lysophosphatidic acid (LPA). Wutotaxin is synthesized as a pre-pro-enzyme and stimulates cell proliferation, cell motility, and angiogenesis. Studies have shown increased expression of autotaxin in tumors is associated with increased tumor aggressiveness. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml detected Autotaxin in 10ug of oligodendrocyte precursor cell lysate. Western Blot performed with Tween. An uncharacterized bands may appear at ~35kD and 50kD in some lysates. Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:400 detected Autotaxin in human cerebral cortex and ductal carcinoma tissues. Heat-induced epitope retrieval in citrate buffer, pH 6.0 was used Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control: Oligodendrocyte precursor cell lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
