- Lymphatic vessel endothelial hyaluronic acid receptor 1 (UniProt: Q9Y5Y7; LYVE-1, Cell surface retention sequence-binding protein 1, CRSBP-1, Extracellular link domain-containing protein 1, Hyaluronic acid receptor) is encoded by the LYVE1 (also known as CRSBP1, HAR, XLKD1, UNQ230/PRO263) gene (Gene ID: 10894) in human. LYVE-1 is a disulfide-linked, homodimeric, single-pass type I membrane protein that undergoes ligand-dependent internalization and recycling at the cell surface. It serves as a ligand-specific transporter trafficking between intracellular organelles (TGN) and the plasma membrane. It is mainly expressed in endothelial cells lining lymphatic vessels. It is expressed on both the luminal and basolateral surfaces of lymphatic endothelium. It is reported to mediate the uptake of intermediate and high molecular weight hyaluronan (HA) and serves as a low affinity receptor for HA-induced lymphoangiogenesis. It also controls the entry and/or migration of leukocytes in lymphatic vessels. The capacity of LYVE-1 to bind HA is based on a receptor distribution and organization of the glycosaminoglycans. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2ug/ml detected LYVE1 (Lymphatic vessel endothelial hyaluronic acid receptor 1) in lysate from wild-type and LYVE transfected HEK293T cells. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
