Extra Details:: Alpha Fetoprotein (AFP) is a protein that is normally only produced in the fetus during its development, and its measurement during pregnancy has been useful to detect certain abnormalities. Elevated levels, if found in amniotic fluid, can indicate a developmental defect in the baby, and is a valuable diagnostic tumor marker. Protein: 0.9-2mg/ml (A280, E0.1%=0.52) Identity: Confirmed by Western Blot Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoassays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze.
