- Extra Details:
- 8-Hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OH-dG) and 8-hydroxyguanosine (8-OHG) are oxidized nucleosides and markers of DNA and RNA oxidative damage, respectively. Levels of 8-OH-dG increase in DNA in the presence of eugenol and hydrogen peroxide or copper sulfate. Levels of 8-OHG increase in response to hydrogen peroxide in HeLa cells in a concentration-dependent manner. 8-OHG has been detected in neurons in postmortem brain from patients with Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:1000 Immunoprecipitation: 10ug/reaction Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
