- CD147 is a 54kD type I integral transmembrane protein, also called extracellular metalloproteinase inducer (EMMMPRIN) or M6 in humans, Basigin or gp42 in mouse, and OX-47 or CE-9 in rat. It is a heavily glycosylated Ig superfamily member and is expressed widely in hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic tissues. CD147 is an adhesion molecule and, through interaction with integrins, plays an important role in fetal, neuronal, blood cells and extracellular matrix development. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Though not tested, Immunohistochemistry (acetone fixed frozen sections) and Western Blot are reported in literature (ref. 1 and 2). Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: ≤1ug labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
