Extra Details:
Sirtuin-1 is a NAD-dependent protein deacetylase, which regulates processes such as apoptosis and muscle differentiation by deacetylating key proteins. Sirtuin-1 emerged as critical regulator of longevity and aging in several model organisms. Furthermore, a variety of age-associated diseases such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, and Alzheimer's disease are associated with sirtuins. Sirtuin-1 has been suggested as potential biomarker for tumorigenesis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (direct and indirect): 1:2000-1:5000 Western Blot: 1:2000-1:5000 using ECL; suggested blocking and dilution buffer is PBST containing 0.05% Tween 20 and 5% skim milk; suggested incubation time is 1 hour at room temperature Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
