- The CD137 ligand (CD137L, 4-1BBL) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) family. CD137L is a type II, transmembrane protein found on activated macrophages, dendritic cells and mature B cells. The interaction with its receptor 4-1BB induces recruitment of TNF receptor-associated factor 1 (TRAF1) and TRAF2 and interaction with the kinase p56lck. CD137 and CD137L have been reported to be involved in tumor rejection, apoptosis, anti-viral immunity, diabetes, in T and B cell co-stimulation and modulation of the immune response. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA (direct or indirect): 1:500-1:5'000) Flow Cytometry: 1:1000 Immunocytochemistry: (see reference # 2) Western Blot: 1:2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
