Extra Details:: PIK3IP1 is a novel protein that shares homology with the p85 subunit of phosphatidylinositol-3-Kinases (PI3Ks). The PI3K is essential for cell proliferation and Survival. The PIK3IP down regulates the activity of the PI3K and induces apoptosis by associating with p85 and p110 to form a complex, using the p85-like domain. However, there is no evidence to suggest that the PIK3IP1 prevents association of p85 and p110 as they associate with very high affinity. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
