- Extra Details:
- This monoclonal was raised by injecting mice with yeast nuclear preparations and screening the resullting hybridomas by immunofluorescence on yeast cells. When this antibody was tested on cells from other species, including rat, mouse and human cells, it has invariably strongly stained nuclear pore complexes, so it appears to be an excellent and panspecific marker for these important structures. This antibody does not work well on western blots so we are currently unsure of the exact identity of the protein to which it binds. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:100-1:500 (yeast cells), 1:50-1:100 (mammalian cells). Immunohistochemistry: 1:2 Western Blot 1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
