- Extra Details:
- Ago1 belongs to the argonaute family and contains 1 PAZ and 1 Piwi domain. It is required for G1 arrest and mating in response to nitrogen starvation. It is also known as a cell cycle control protein through its regulation of cytokinesis and its related cell cycle checkpoints, which occur downstream of dcr1. It is required, indirectly, for regulated hyperphosphorylation of cdc2. Ago 1 also has a role in the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway, which is important for heterochromatin formation and accurate chromosome segregation. It has been shown to be non-essential for siRNA-directed target RNA cleavage, but is needed for the production of mature miRNA that affects miRNA-directed RNA cleavage. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HeLa cell lysate Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
