- Nitric oxide synthase is an enzyme catalizing the synthesis of NO from L-arginine. The antiserum was raised against a synthetic peptide of rat cerebellar NOS, that shows no homology with other related proteins. Absorption with 10-100 ug immunogen per ml diluted antiserum abolishes the staining. Positive control: frozen sections of rat colon.
