- SP600125 is a selective, reversible inhibitor of c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNK1, JNK2, and JNK3), with IC50 values ranging from 40 to 90 nM. JNK signaling is implicated in neuronal apoptosis, neuroinflammation, and synaptic dysfunction-hallmarks of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. SP600125 is frequently used to dissect the role of JNK in neuronal cell death pathways and to evaluate neuroprotective strategies.
