Weitere Details:: HCRTR2 (Orexin receptor 2 / Hypocretin receptor 2) is a G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) expressed in the central nervous system; particularly in hypothalamic neurons. It couples to Gq and Gi/o proteins; activating PLC/Ca²⁺ signaling and modulating adenylyl cyclase and MAPK pathways. HCRTR2 regulates wakefulness; sleep-wake cycles; appetite; and energy homeostasis. Dysregulation is associated with narcolepsy; sleep disorders; and metabolic dysfunctions; making it a therapeutic target for sleep and metabolic disorders.
