- Human phosphoserine phosphatase (HPSP), specific for D- and L- phosphoserine, has been identified in all human tissues. HPSP is a Mg(2+)-dependent phosphoserine phosphatase. The three dimensional structure of HPSP reveals the structural and functional role of the divalent cation in the active site of phosphatases. In particular, the complex structures reveal that the open-closed environmental change of the active site, generated by local rearrangement of the alpha-helical bundle domain, is important for the substrate recognition and hydrolysis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
