- CD279 is a 55kD cell surface protein which is a member of the CD28/CTLA-4 family, otherwise known as Programmed Death-1 (PD-1). CD279 is expressed predominantly on activated T- and B- lymphocytes and on a subset of thymocytes. Studies suggest that CD279, an immunoinhibitory receptor, plays a critical role in peripheral tolerance induction and prevention of autoimmune disease. Two members of the B7 family, B7-H1 (PD-L1) and B7-DC (PD-L2), have been identified as the ligands for CD279. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
