- MaxLight™ 650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000. Following its characterization as an activated oncogene (based on its ability to transform normal fibroblasts) Met was characterized as the receptor for hepatocyte growth factor. The c-Met receptor is a disulfide bonded heterodimer consisting of an ~50kD extracellular a-chain and an ~145kD b-chain with a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase domain. Both chains are derived from a single precursor protein by proteolytic cleavage. c-Met is expressed in a wide variety of adult and embryonic tissues. It transmits biological responses including mitogenesis, morphogenesis and anti-apoptotic activity elicited by HGF. Dysregulated c-Met gene expression is observed in a variety of human carcinomas and sarcomas. c-Met also mediates the movement and invasiveness of neoplastic cells and promotes metastasis. Recently, transcription of the c-Met gene was suggested to be a target for regulation by p53. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: paraffin sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™650 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
