Weitere Details:: The mammalian matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) degrade extracellular matrix in physiological and pathological processes. After cleavage of a signal peptide domain of about 20 amino acids, the MMPs are secreted in latent forms. Upon activation, the N-terminal propeptide domain is cleaved to generate the active forms of MMP 2. MMP-2 (72kD type IV collagenase, Gelatinase-A) contain the basic structure of propeptide, catalytic, and hemopexin domains. It is an important proteinase in tissue remodeling. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:2000 Immunoprecipitation: 1:500 Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
