- Human leukocyte-associated Ig-like receptor-1 (LAIR-1) is a 40kD cell surface molecule that functions as an inhibitory receptor on natural killer cells, monocytes and T cells. LAIR-1 is also expressed by other hematopoeitic cells including B cells, but is not expressed by non-hematopoietic, platelets or erythrocytes. Reported to inhibit NK cell triggering via CD16 molecules (1). Fusion Partners: Spleen cells from immunized mice were fused with cells of the P3U1 myeloma cell line Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Neat; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Negative Controls: Mouse IgG1 Negative Control: FITC Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
