- MaxLight™550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™546, 555, DyLight™549 , Cy3™, TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (550nm); Emission (575nm); Extinction Coefficient 150,000. Mouse IL-6 (interleukin-6) is a multifunctional pro-inflammatory cytokine secreted by activated T cells, macrophages, endothelial cells, fibroblasts and osteoblasts, which acts as the principle inducer of the acute phase response in the liver. IL-6 signals through a membrane bound receptor complex consisting of the ligand-binding IL-6Ra chain (CD126) and the signal-transducing component gp130 (CD130), but can also stimulate cells expressing gp130 through a soluble IL-6R. IL-6 has been shown to stimulate B cell differentiation and subsequent immunoglobulin production, promote hybridoma growth, as well as regulating bone metabolism and stimulating energy mobilisation in muscle and fatty tissue. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and Functional Assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Functional Assays: 3ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
