- Immunoglobulin Superfamily, member 4C (IGSF4C), also known as Nectin-like protein 4 (Necl-4), SynCAM4, or TSLL-2, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein adhesion molecule. Expression at 55 kD in epithelia of kidney, bladder and prostate, 52kD in brain, and 50 or 48kD in the testes may be due to variable glycosylation. IGSF4C participates in Ca 2+ -independent, mainly homophilic cell-cell adhesion activity and is a proposed tumor suppressor. Human IGSF4C contains a 306 aa extracellular region with one V-type and two C2-type Ig-like domains. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Direct ELISA, Flow Cytometry and Immunocytochemistry . Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml under non-reducing conditions only Flow Cytometry: 2.5ug labels 10e6 cells. Tested using A172 human glioblastoma cell line Immunocytochemistry: 8-25ug/ml using immersion fixed Caco-2 human colorectal adenocarcinoma cell ine Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
