- GM-CSF is a hematopoietic growth factor that stimulates the development of neutrophils and macrophages. It promotes the proliferation and development of early erythroid megakaryocytic and eosinophilic progenitor cells. It is produced in by endothelial cells, monocytes, fibroblasts and T lymphocytes. GM-CSF inhibits neutrophil migration and enhances the functional activity of the mature end-cells. The human and murine molecules are species-specific and exhibit no cross-species reactivity. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Matched Pair: Capture: G8951-26B Dectection: G8950-12 Hybridoma: Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
