- GSK3B, a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family, participates in the Wnt signaling pathway. It is implicated in the hormonal control of several regulatory proteins including glycogen synthase, MYB and the transcription factor JUN. GSK3B phosphorylates JUN at sites proximal to its DNA-binding domain, thereby reducing its affinity for DNA. The protein is inhibited when phosphorylated by AKT1 or ILK1. Expressed is detected in testis, thymus, prostate and ovary, and weakly in lung, brain and kidney. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
