- Glutathione S-transferase is a 26kD protein from Schistosoma japonicum. GST is utilized as a fusion protein in protein expression from a range of prokaryotic expression vectors, including the pGEX family of vectors. Antibodies against GST will detect the expressed GST protein or a GST-fusion protein, and can be utilized for immuno-purification of GST-fusion proteins. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml detected recombinant GST protein and GST-Abltide fusion protein. Recombinant GST protein (20ng), and a GST fusion protein (50ng,) were resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with G8135-09A (1ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended secondary antibodies: I1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo I1904-06H IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
