- Gamma-aminobutyric acid tye A (GABAA) receptors are members of the neurotransmitter ligand-gated ion channels that mediate neuronal inhibition on binding GABA. The effects of GABA on GABAA receptors are modulated by a range of therapeutically important drugs, including barbiturates, anaesthetics and benzodiazepines. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:500 detected GABA A Receptor beta 2,3 chain on 10ug of mouse brain membrane lysate. Mouse brain membrane lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with G1015-17. Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) goat anti-mouse and a chemiluminescence detection system. Immunohistochemistry: 10-20ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt x Mo I1904-06H: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt x Mo Positive Control: HepG2 cell lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
