- MaxLight™ 550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™546, 555, DyLight™549 , Cy3™, TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (550nm); Emission (575nm); Extinction Coefficient 150,000. Ebola virus causes disease in humans known as Ebola virus disease(EVD) or Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF). Symptoms typicallybegin with a fever, throat and muscle pains, and headaches approximately2-21 days after contacting the virus. This is followed by nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea, which is accompanied by decreased liver and kidney function, which can lead to bleeding. The virus is spread through contact with bodily fluids of an infected animal or person. Blood is tested for antibodies to the virus, or the viral RNA, or the virus itself, to confirm the diagnosis. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
