- DRAK2 (DAP kinase related apoptosis inducing protein kinase 2) is a member of the novel DAP (death associated protein) pro-apoptotic kinase family (1). Overexpression of DRAK2 in NIH/3T3 cells induces morphological changes associated with apoptosis, which are likely to occur in a p53-dependent manner (1,2). DRAK2 is preferentially expressed in lymphoid tissues and regulates the TCR activation threshold during thymocyte selection (3). Indeed, T cells from DRAK2(-/-) mice exhibit enhanced sensitivity to T cell receptor-mediated stimulation and have a reduced requirement for co-stimulation (4). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:200 Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunoprecipitation: 1:50 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
