Weitere Details:: Cre-recombinase is a 38kD DNA recombinase derived from the P1 bacteriophage. It is highly specific for a 34bp DNA sequence (loxP) found in P1 DNA. It catalyzes site-specific recombination between two 34-base-pair LOXP sites. Its role is to maintain the phage genome as a monomeric unit-copy plasmid in the lysogenic state. It is a homotetramer when bound to DNA and belongs to the "phage" integrase family. This antibody can be used to determine the success of gene manipulations in transgenic animals. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:500-1:5000 Western Blot (Native & recombinant protein): 1:500-1:5000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:500-1:5000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
