Weitere Details:: Gap junctional intercellular communication is thought to play a key role in development and may also be involved in epilepsy. Connexin43 forms gap-junctional channels and regulates the permeability of these gap junctions to small organic molecules. Permeability of Connexin43 is known to be regulated by phosphorylation at Ser368 by protein kinase C. Phosphorylation of Ser368 by PKC induces a conformational change of Connexin43 that results in a decrease in gap junction permeability. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Rat cerebellar lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
