- MaxLight™550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™546, 555, DyLight™549 , Cy3™, TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (550nm); Emission (575nm); Extinction Coefficient 150,000. Human complement component 3d (C3d) neoantigen is a 33kD polypeptide fragment generated over the course of complement activation in which where complement 3 (C3) convertases cleave C3 to C3b, which is further degraded into iC3b and C3dg/C3d. C3d is involved in the regulation of many aspects of the immune response, including antigen processing and presentation. The C3d/antigen complex mediates B cell activation by simultaneously binding antigen-specific surface bound immunoglobulin and CD21, lowering the complement activation threshold. C3 is crucial in the induction of tolerance generated when an antigen is introduced into immunoprivileged sites and this is exploited by pathogens and cancer cells to evade the immune system by inhibiting complement activation. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA, Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Kidney from post streptococcal glomerulonephritius patients Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
