- MaxLight™490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight™488, Alexa Fluor™488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (491nm); Emission (515nm); Extinction Coefficient 73,000. Clusterin, which is also known as Sulfated Glycoprotein-2 (SGP-2), Dimeric Acidic Glycoprotein (DAG), and Testosterone Repressed Prostate Message-2 (TRPM-2), is a disulfide-linked heterodimeric sulfated glycoprotein expressed in a variety of tissues. Although its function is unknown, clusterin binds to cells, membranes, and hydrophobic proteins. It also inhibits complement activation. Induced or elevated levels of clusterin have been associated with programmed cell death caused by hormonal stimuli or traumatic insult. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Recommended secondary antibodies: I1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo I1904-06H IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™490 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
