- MaxLight™650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000. c-Jun is a component of the transcription factor AP-1 that binds and activates transcription at TRE/AP-1 elements and appears to be a major downstream target of the SAPK/JNK signaling pathway. The transcriptional activity of c-Jun is regulated by phosphorylation at Ser63 and Ser73. Extracellular signals including growth factors, transforming oncoproteins and UV irradiation stimulate phosphorylation of c-Jun at Ser63/73 and activate c-Jun dependent transcription. Mutation of Ser63/73 renders c-Jun nonresponsive to mitogenic and stress induced signaling pathways. The MAP kinase homologue, SAPK/JNK, binds to the N-terminal region of c-Jun and phosphorylates c-Jun at Ser63/73. In addition, the activity of SAPK/JNK is stimulated by the same signals that activate c-Jun. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: NIH/3T3 cell lysate Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™650 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
