- CD84 is a 64-82 kD glycoprotein. It is a member of the SLAM (CD150) family, a CD2 subset of the Ig superfamily, also known as SLAMF5 or Ly9b. CD84 is expressed on B cells, monocytes, thymocytes, subset of (preferentially on CD45RO+) T cells, and platelets. CD84 functions as a homophilic adhesion molecule and enhances T cell activation and cytokine production. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: NS1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
