- CD34 is a single chain transmembrane glycoprotein with a MW of 105-120kD. It is expressed in early lymphohemopoietic stem and progenitor cells, vascular endothelial cells, embryonic fibroblasts, and some cells in nerve tissue. CD34 is useful in the identification and enrichment of hematopoietic precursor cells, and the characterization of leukemias. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Requires 0.1M citrate buffer, pH 6.0 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Vascular tumors or smooth muscle cells Expected Staining Pattern: Predominantly membrane with some cytoplasmic staining Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
