- CD28 is a type of I disulfide-linked homodimer that is expressed on most thymocytes and at very low levels on NK cells. Its expression is upregulated upon T-cell activation. CD28 is a ligand for CD80/B7-1 and CD86/B7-2 on B cells and other antigen presenting cells and plays an important role in the interaction between T cells and B cells. CD28 is a co-stimulatory receptor involved in many but not all T cell independent immune responses. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:25-1:50; 10ul labels 10e6 cells or 100ul whole blood. Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Y3/Ag 1.2.3 rat myeloma cells with spleen cells from DA rat. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1903-14Y: IgG, H&L (FITC) I1904-47R: IgG, H&L (FITC) Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
