Weitere Details:: CD11a is expressed on lymphocytes, granulocytes, monocytes and macrophages with increase in levels on memory T cells. CD11a or LFA 1 has a key role in mediating leukocyte adhesion to endothelium during inflammatory responses through binding to ICAM 1 (CD54). Other ligands are ICAM-2 and ICAM-3. It is also involved in many T cell functions and immune phenomena. Mol. weight in SDS gels is about 180kD. Part of heterodimer with CD18 (integrin b2). A defect in b-2 expression results in leukocytes adhesion deficiency (LAD) in which patients suffer from recurring bacterial infections. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: frozen Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
