Weitere Details:: Rat CD4 cell surface glycoprotein is a 55kD molecule expressed by helper T cells and weakly by monocytes. Monoclonal antibodies clustered as CD4 detect most thymocytes and a subpopulation of peripheral blood T cells, called T helper cells (Th). In addition, CD4 is expressed on monocytes and macrophages. The CD4 antigen is a 55kD glycoprotein which plays a role in the recognition of foreign antigens presented to T cells by MHC class II molecules. Furthermore, CD4 acts as a receptor for HIV-1 by binding the viral protein gp120. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul. Immunohistochemistry: Frozen and paraffin. Reacts with paraffin-embedded material following PLP fixation (periodate-lysine-paraformaldehyde). Optimal dilution determined by the researcher Recommended Negative Controls: I1904-78Y: Mouse IgG1 Negative Control Hybridoma: NS1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
