- Caspase-3 is regarded as a control mediator of apoptosis in mammalian cells. It is processed during apoptosis from an inactive proenzyme to its active form and func- tions to cleave certain proteins. Caspase-3 is found in some epithelia, kidney, thymus, bone, tonsil, lymph node and bone marrow cells. This antibody will help detect caspase-3 in normal and uncharacterized tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml. Jurkat human acute T cell leukemia cell line and DA3 mouse myeloma cell line treated with Staurosporine. Immunoprecipitation: 1ug/10e6 cells. Jurkat human acute T cell leukemia cell line treated with Staurosporine. Knockout Validated: Caspase‑3 is specifically detected in HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma parental cell line but is not detectable in Caspase‑3 knockout HeLa cell line. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
