Weitere Details:: Calpains are cytosolic, calcium-dependent, cysteine proteases that are ubiquitously expressed in mammalian and avian tissues. Type I Calpain requires micromolar amounts of calcium, while type II calpain requires millimolar amounts of calcium. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000, recognizes the 30kD small subunits of either calpain isozyme. ELISA: 1:50,000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:100 on 4% paraformaldehyde or 1% paraformaldehyde/4% glutaraldehyde fixed tissue. Immunocytochemistry: 1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
