The cumulative lifetime risk of breast cancer for women who carry mutations in BRCA1 is approximately 92%, while the cumulative lifetime risk for noncarriers is estimated to be 10%. BRCA1 and BRCA2 participate together in a pathway (or pathways) associated with the activation of double-strand break repair and/or homologous recombination. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
