- Aquastatin D is produced by Fusarium sp. but can also be produced by thermal degradation of aquastatin A. Aquastatin D is active against Bacillus subtilis with MIC 3.1 µg/mL but is less active against S. aureus and S. cerevisiae (12.5 and 6.3 ug/mL, respectively). Aquastatin D is inactive against NS-1 and NFF cell lines. Source: Semi-synthetic Molecular Formula: C28H46O9 Molecular Weight: 526.7 Appearance: White solid Solubility: Methanol, DMSO. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with methanol or DMSO. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
