- Fc fragment of IgE, high affinity I, receptor for, alpha polypeptide, also known as high affinity immunoglobulin epsilon receptor subunit alpha, FCER1A and FCE1A, is a single-pass type I membrane protein which contains 2 immunoglobulin-like domains. FCER1A is a subunit of the IgE receptor, which is composed of one glycosylated alpha (FCER1A), one beta (FCER1B), and two gamma (FCER1G) subunits. The high affinity IgE receptor plays a central role in allergic disease, coupling allergen and mast cell to initiate the inflammatory and immediate hypersensitivity responses that are characteristic of disorders such as hay fever and asthma. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000, incubate membrane with diluted primary antibody in TBS, 5% milk, 0.1% Tween 20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight. Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200 Immunofluorescence (IF-IC): 1:100-1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
