- GOPC plays a role in intracellular protein trafficking and degradation. GOPC may regulate CFTR chloride currents and acid-induced ACCN3 currents by modulating cell surface expression of both channels. GOPC may also regulate the intracellular trafficking of the ADR1B receptor. GOPC may play a role in autophagy. Overexpression of GOPC results in CFTR intracellular retention and degradation in the lysosomes.PIST is a PDZ domain-containing Golgi protein. PDZ domains contain approximately 90aa and bind the extreme C terminal of proteins in a sequence-specific manner.[supplied by OMIM]. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
