- COX3 is a multi-pass membrane protein. It belongs to the cytochrome c oxidase subunit 3 family. Defects in COX3 are a cause of Leber hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) and cytochrome c oxidase deficiency (COX deficiency). Defects in MT-CO3 are also found in mitochondrial encephalomyopathy with lactic acidosis and stroke-like episodes (MELAS) syndrome and recurrent myoglobinuria. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
