- N-Oleoylethanolamide is an agonist of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-α (PPAR-α). N-Oleoylethanolamide generates an intestinal signal that stimulates central dopamine activity establishing a link between caloric-homeostatic and hedonic-homeostatic controllers.
