- Immunoreactive BCL2 protein in the neoplastic cells of almost all follicular lymphomas whereas no BCL2 protein was detected in follicles affected by nonneoplastic processes or in normal lymphoid tissue. Every tumor with molecular-genetic evidence of t(14;18) translocation expressed detectable levels of BCL2 protein, regardless of whether the breakpoint was located in or at a distance from the BCL2 gene. Overexpression of BCL2 blocks the apoptotic death of a pro-B-lymphocyte cell line. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 0.5-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
