Weitere Details:: CCAAT/enhancer-binding proteins (C/ EBPs) are a family of transcription factors that are critical for cellular differentiation, terminal function, and inflammatory response (1). Six members of the family have been characterized (C/EBPalpha, beta, xi, gamma, epsilon, and zeta) and are distributed in a variety of tissues (1). Translation from alternative start codons results in two isoforms of C/EBPalpha (p42 and p30), which are both strong transcriptional activators (2). It has been reported that insulin and insulin-like growth factor-I stimulate the dephosphorylation of C/EBPalpha, which may play a key role in insulin-induced repression of GLUT4 transcription (3). Phosphorylation of C/EBPalpha at Thr222, Thr226, and Ser230 by GSK-3 seems to be required for adipogenesis (4). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000, incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight. Immunoprecipitation: 1:50 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:200 Immunofluorescence (IF-IC): 1:100 Flow Cytometry: 1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
