- SOX10 is a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and the determination of the cell fate (1). The encoded protein may act as a transcriptional activator after forming a protein complex with other proteins (2). This protein acts as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttle protein and is important for neural crest and peripheral nervous system development (2). Mutations in this gene are associated with Waardenburg-Shah and Waardenburg-Hirschprung disease (3). SLC30A8 expression in beta-cells was found to be influenced by cytokine expression, particularly IFN-gamma and IL-1beta (4). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
