- CD8 is a 32-34kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. CD8alpha forms either a homodimer (2 alpha chains) or a heterodimer with CD8beta and is expressed on the surface of cytotoxic T cells, NK cells, cortical thymocytes, and dendritic cells. CD8 functions as a co-receptor for T cell receptor and specifically binds to class I MHC for antigen recognition and T cell activation. 367143 specifically binds the alpha chain of human CD8. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 5ul is sufficient for staining of 1 million cells in a 100ul staining volume or 100ul of whole blood Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
