- HAUS7 is 1 of 8 subunits of the 390kD human augmin complex, or HAUS complex. The augmin complex was first identified in Drosophila, and its name comes from the Latin verb 'augmentare,' meaning 'to increase.' The augmin complex is a microtubule-binding complex involved in microtubule generation within the mitotic spindle and is vital to mitotic spindle assembly. UIP1 bound to full-length mouse Uch37 and to its C-terminal extension, but not to its N-terminal domain. In vitro binding assays confirmed direct interaction between UIP1 and Uch37. Furthermore, UIP1 was found to inhibit interaction between the S14 proteasome subunit (PSMD8) and Uch37 in a concentration-dependent manner. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:50-400 Immunocytochemistry: 1:50-500 Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:50-500 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:10-100 ELISA: 1:100-1:5000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
