- v-CRK avian sarcoma virus CT10-homolog-like contains one SH2 domain and two SH3 domains. CRKL has been shown to activate the RAS and JUN kinase signaling pathways and transform fibroblasts in a RAS-dependent fashion. It is a substrate of the BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase and plays a role in fibroblast transformation by BCR-ABL. In addition, CRKL has oncogenic potential. CrkL together with Crk participates in the Reelin signaling cascade downstream of DAB1. CRKL becomes phosphorylated when overexpressed, activates Ras-dependent and JNK pathways, and transforms fibroblasts. The authors also found CRKL to be a substrate for the BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase (ABL), leading them to conclude that CRKL is a tyrosine kinase and an oncogene. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
